Fire and Explosion: Over 500 investigations in 11 countries. Has appeared as an expert witness in respect of fire. Particular expertise with fires at electrical facilities.
Transformers/Switchgear/Alternators: Skilled in analysing electrical accidents and distinguishing whether damage was electrical in nature or originated from fire and/or explosion.
Lightning & Electrical Failure Analysis: Trained in USA in lightning protection and investigation. Has investigated numerous claimed lightning events involving a wide range of machinery and equipment. Following on from cause, can verify extent of damage and indicate possible methods of repair and costs.
Restoration: Attends accident scenes involving electronic equipment and machinery and advises on what can be recovered and immediate steps to minimise damage. Skilled in discussing extent of damage with owners and suppliers and has appeared as an expert witness in respect of machine condition. Can arrange restoration insitu or offsite. Experience include multinational telecommunication facility, petrochemical data room, CD replication and mastering equipment.
Safety: Qualified safety practitioner with extensive training in engineering risk management and safety. Skilled in accident investigation from a safety viewpoint, and determining if there is compliance with relevant standards. Can perform job safety analysis.
